Ellen Doss is a fine artist based in Charlotte, North Carolina working in both painting and photography for over 15 years. Her creative practice aims to alchemize the darkness and traumas in life into expressions of light and unity through connection to nature. Her goal as an artist is to illuminate the eternal energies that drive the forces of nature through time and space, reminding us of both our power and fragility. Her intention is to encourage deeper appreciation for our planetary home and expand collective perspective on the relationship between Earth and the human experience.

Ellen graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in May 2025 earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Painting and a minor in Art History. She attended a study abroad program in Italy during the summer of 2024 where she studied art and art history in Rome and Venice. She worked for the university in both an academic preceptorship and a studio assistantship. Post-graduation, Ellen has been working on community engagement opportunities, creating new personal works, and is currently exhibiting work at RTown Gallery in Grapevine, Texas as a part of their group show Portals during the month of July.
